I dont think it works with gay 4.something liter's. 5.2's and 5.9's are a go!

why won't it work with a '99?

When I ordered it said "Limited Quantities". They sent an e-mail confirming the order, not that they'd shipped it yet though... Can only hope and wait now.

2000 & up trucks with the magnum motors have totally different computers. I put a Hypertech 93 program in my '99 and LOVE IT! Getting about 1.5-2mpg better mileage in town and highway, and it really woke up the performance!

I wouldnt expect as much an improvement from the R/T because its factory tuned for 91 octane, but for a hundred bucks... I'll take any kind of improvement it might offer!!!

Order status: "Items have shipped".

It still said "limited quantities" after I ordered, hopefully one of you guys got the others they had. Sorry some of you missed out.

I'll let you know how she works.

My '01 R/T is factory tuned for 87 octane as is the rest of them. The only R/T I'm aware of being factory tuned for 91 octane is the '99 Durango.

No such thing as a '99 R/T Durango. They just started making R/T's in '00. Mine says "requires premium fuel" inside the gas door, and in the owners manual is says never use anything below 91 octane. I'll try to find a link to a really cool site that shows the whole Durango history and post it.

Crap. I cant find the site. Somebody else had posted it here on another thread. I saved it as a PDF. This is from the 2000 year description. It was the only year Durango R/T's were tuned for premium.

4.7 V8 (4x4 models only) [mated to all-new transmission]
5.2 V8 (Y) 230hp (4x2 models only)
5.9 V8 245hp/335tq
5.9 V8 R/T 250hp/350tq (requires premium fuel)

I can pm you the pdf if you like. I'll keep looking for the site.

I stand corrected on the '99 Durango R/T but i still don't think any of the Dak R/T's required 91 octane.

Got in the programmer. I'm going to start a thread called "Hypertech R/T" to tell the results (help anyone doing a search to find the info).
