Torsion / shackle. It refers to cranking the torsion bars up higher in front and replacing your shackles in the rear with longer shackles for a 2" lift all around.

Add-a-leafs are better!

They sell ready 2" lift leafs for Dakota's and Durango's. Add-a-leafs look so much better then shackles on durango's.

No need for keys, plenty of room for adjustment.

can you do both? i am dumb and dont have any idea what the shackle is yet.

Yes you can do both....i've got both on mine. I used the Fabtech AAL's listed for dakotas, and the Belltech 6400 shackles...just search for em(summit, jegs, etc etc.)...:mullet:

Unless your torsion bars are sagging. I needed Keys on my truck because the drivers side couldn't adjust enough. Always be reasonable with cranking the bars. If you crank the keys until the upper arm is smashing the droop stops your going to hurt something including ride and handling.

i personally would go with the shackls first, because they are cheaper and they dont change the spring rate any......add a leafs will change the spring rate to lift it, making for a harsher than stock ride. the back end will bounce all over the place....... but, to each his own.....

roger. so, there arent a multitude of rates of leafs? or maybe a completely different leaf setup? im not into a bouncy rear end myself, thanks for the tip.
