Anyone swap to these since the silver ram's head ones are no longer made?

This is the little centercap.

The dealership and multiple people said they'd work. Sure, they fit, they wobble like stupid and aren't flush.

It looks like I have to use a dremel on the back of the rim because of the parts sticking up from it. Then, lay a fatass bead of RTV on it.

If you've swapped, what did you do to get them to work other than this, if anything?

Thanks for any input.

if you are talking about these, they stay in real good i havent lost one yet and lost one of the old ones everytime i went off roading.

Mine sit flush in the groove in the rim, but the rams head is raised ,they dont wobble but i do think that one is making a weird tick sound over certain kinds of bumps. I dont think they look too goofy being chrome either. Im just happy they stay in.

Yep, the same ones I bought, but these things are fuckin' weird. I can put them in, but pull them right back off by hand. They'd stay on their own, but wobble and gapped like stupid.

thats wierd mine had a metal ring that pushed the tabs out. after it went in i dont think i couldnt just pop it right out without breaking it. im pretty sure that id have to take the rim off and push them out.

Yep, mine has a metal ring with the clips too. Mine also has pieces sticking up right under the lip of the cap. If I had my camera I'd get a picture.

Yeah, even when I put tape on the gap, I put it in and it still wasn't flush. You can see the parts sticking up causing the gap.

well i just tried to get one out, no-go, but i can tell you that mine sit flush all the way around i had a hard time getting my finger nail in between them and the rim.

maybe you got a bad set like they didnt file off all the mold tabs or whatever before they plated theme.

All i did with mine was push theme in and they snapped right in.

those look thicker than mine. and i dont think they had those.

Mine sit like that, but it's still alot of gap to me. I'm a picky bastard. Even if I push them in, they wobble like crazy. It's almost like the clip piece is too long or something.

Yep. Someone stole one of mine. I am also painting my wheels when it's warm out, the chrome will stand out more. I'll be selling my OEM ones eventually.

I'll get a video in the daylight to show how fubar these ones are. :jester:

I can't, got them off Ebay. Go figure. :jester: I should clean them up real well, buy some from a dealer. If the dealers fit, return these and tell them they don't work. :jester:

If there like the ones I have (which are chrome like those) you gotta push them in really hard for them to pop in place.

I was wondering I saw on a Jeep GC had plain center caps with no design on them at all. I was wondering if these will fit in our rims? they look the same size
