Cool lights, but blue flashing lights and a siren on a private vehicle would get your ass thrown UNDER the jail house in NC!!!

That's rather obvious but blue lights are for law enforcement only and sirens are for law enforcement, medical, and fire departments. Volunteer fire fighters are NOT allowed to have them on their personal vehicles!

Yeah my uncle is on the VFD in Hurdle mills, He has his Ram fitted w/ Red lights, not sure if has sirens or not. I've been wanting to get pics of mine and his side by side. His is a 95 w/ a leveling kit and 305/75R16 I belive.

Nah, just mine and his Ram's are both lifted put mine's the pre-93 Gen and his is a 94-01 Gen, Just for comparison. I have a bunch of friends on the VFD but I've never joined.

Same as Wa, but firefighters can have a single green strobe, no siren

Notice in all of these comments, we have different light/siren setups...


In PA Volly FF's and EMT's in Fire or EMS agencies can run blue lights, Officers (Chiefs Deputy Chiefs) can run red with a siren...The state does have laws as far as how many, how they must be seen and such...For the m ost part both of our trucks are legal minus a light or 2...I am a Volly FF/emt with both a fire and ems agency...As well as dak 35-1 (At the time) being an officer for an EMS agency...


So before you all start throwing the OH MY GOD THAT ILLEGAL shit around, make sure you know what you are talking about...



Fact: EMS in New York must run green...:wave: As well as numerous others I have seen post in this thread already
