Jetta's have no balls. Not that I remember. The Golf I did my driving lessons in was slow as shit (and a diesel)
What are you talking about the vw have no balls:huh:

A 04 1.8L turbo is fast......

You did your driving lessons in a vw diesel...what did you expect it to be a rocket:huh:

Go to a dealer find a vw with a 1.8L turbo and test drive one and then tell me if its fast or not

You must be smoking something if you think a 1.8T has no balls. Besides I am not really looking at at it for the speed aspect compared to the looks. That car is very hard to find in that color.

I'm telling you the golf I took my driving lessons in, turbo diesel and slow as shit.

Maybe it's because I did a lot of learning in my step dad's 3series, but comparitively to the durango I just remember it being super fucking slow. I remember merging onto the freeway and my instructor going "faster... faster"
and me going "i've got it floored!".
I mean, I was too tall for the car, first of all so I could definitely reach the pedals. Secondly I couldn't push the pedal down any further. Maybe her car was mod'd so that it had no balls but all I remember her telling me that was different on it was that she had a brake pedal on the passenger side.

So yeah, definitely not a rocket and I'll say I was expecting a turbo'd car the size of a golf to be a bit quicker. I guess I'll hafta go test drive one. Do they let 18 year olds test drive cars? :p

The turbo deisal is different car then the 1.8T gas engine

on re-reading the posts, I can see where you were referring to the 1.8T as a seperate engine from the turbo diesel.

When I read turbo I thought you were on about the diesel... but then when you specifically mentioned diesel being a rocket I now see you were referring to two separate engines.
Muh bad!

Picking up the car today. Since the thread was started I have had a few family emergencies and have moved back home. But today i am going to pick the car up.

nice car... but those things are high maintenance! and cost a shit load to get fixed lol if they were cheap to maintain... I would have a nice Audi A4 or something lol. whatever makes you happy tho man!
Thats all just talk. Cost just as much to have a Vw fixed as any other car. And parts really arent that bad either. My friend has a 1.8Tgti that is all hopped up. I dont know to much about it. Just know that is has an upgraded K04, 3" exhaust, fmic, giac tune, and other odds and ends. It feels fast but only pulls my 850R 2-2.5 lenghts from 45-110. All in all its a nice car. Good buy on yours! Post up some pics.
