Well since this Dakota wouldn't sell and the prices on Trucks have dropped like a STONE, I just decided to keep this one and Finish it up for Carlisle next year....

So I'm going to attend to some of the exterior and underhood cosmetics it badly needs fixed....

and I'll make a few upgrades as well........... Edelbrock IAS Shocks, Bell Tech Front and Rear Sway bars, a set of Chrome Lakewood Traction Bars, 4.56's with a Mopar LSD Unit, the R/T Rims with a set of Chrome skins.

I'll also finish up the Shaker and Wiper Cowl area after the Parts come back from the Paint shop...

The Bed will eventually get a BedRug Bedliner and a A.R.E. Bedcover....

This Dakota is going to Run Rings around my 4X4 and my R/T until I get the R/T in the shop and get it Restored and a SCT Tune on my 4x4!

HeHe.........

let's just say if my Desk Top Dyno is accurate, the V6 will be at about 260 HP at the crank!

The Block got the Full Treatment and quite a few other changes as well to the Heads, Cam and Intake!

as much as i followed your build on that motor, i am glad to see that you are finally going to put it to use. back when you had it for sale, i wished that i had the money to buy it to drop in my truck.

I've had it Pretty Rough this past 18 months or so, and things are starting to improve somewhat, so I can start to get to work on some of projects I have had lingering around the shop...

I'll post pics of the progress on this winter Project...

I finally got a Day OFF and I had about an or so in the afternoon today to botl the Lakewood Chrome Traction Bars on and install a set of Superior leaf spring clamps I bought at Auto Zone a while back.........

I also decided to set a couple of the R/T Rims in place for the photos I took...

I'm just waiting on the Edelbrock IAS Shocks to arrive next week and I'll be able to get those bolted up as well........

I'm trying to decide if I should swap the 275-60-17's I have on my Cragar soft 8's on to the R/T's or wait and score a set of 275-50-17's from Nitto..

its not a 4x4?? I thought it was your 4x4... If I saw it for sale and it was a 4x4 for not a ton of money I probably would have at least asked a bunch of questions about it haha
The 4X4 Supercharged Dakota is my keeper, I won't sell it for anything unless someone comes up with a TON of cash style ofer like I got on my old Charger!

AND I don't see that happening with the economy about to tank and Blue Book value on it is less than 10K, so I'm keeping all 3 of them since they are at the bottom of the depreciation cycle.

The one in the pics was bought very cheap and I Paid it OFF 2 WEEKS before that stupid witch hit it speeding thru the alley behind my house!

This one I'm going to play around with and make a nice cruiser...

cool, so does that mean that you have 3 dakotas right now?
Yup as I bought the 3rd one last June for a couple reasons, First reason it was priced low and was in decent restorable condition, 2nd reason, I was wanting that color and model back when I bought the 4x4, so I decided to go ahead and bring it home, I'm planning a full restoration and driveline rebuild to make it what I wanted to build originally.

All 3 are paid for, and I have the R/T and 4x4 in a local Heated and secure storage building until Spring arrives, then the R/T gets some attention next summer....

so you have a supercharged 4x4 that you dont drive in the winter? lol
Nope, that's why we have our 2008 Caliber, I've put too much money in that Truck to let some Idiot take it out that can't drive in the Snow and Winter weather we get around here...

After waiting for close to Month on Bell-Tech to deliver the correct sway bar in one Sway Bar kit that has the correct Sway Bar, I finally got it after two previous attempts...

so I installed it this afternoon along with a set of Edelbrock IAS Shocks!
