Is it a PITA to change the throttle cable? :wave:
I hope that i don't have to remove the s/c to change it...

The s/c is taking so much place under the hood, i can't even see where the throttle cable go in the firewall

which ground was bad my opti seems like a pos. I dont have alot of money so Im hoping that Tom Fox can fix my problems.

Well i forgot to ground a wire for the knock sensor :rant:

I grounded it correctly, reconnect the wire for the crank,tps,map and iat on the optimizer and it started!

Throttle cable is changed, I've put some 94 octane in it and there we go its working !..

My guage show only 4.5psi (i'm pretty sure thats the underdrive pulley causing this)

The first test drive i made was a bit weird, was going slower in boost than n/a..
I hooked my scanner, and i saw that when i was going in boost, the optimizer was removing something like 10-15 timing degree...

So i saw that was because my knock sensor was not plogued (was to do today but it's raining so will do this later..)
So i decided to connect the wire from the crank sensor directly to the pcm AND tap the black wire (input crank signal to optimizer) so that my optimizer can get the crank signal..
Now it's running good!
The only thing is that it can't retard timing for now...

Just get an MSD BTM and do it yourself.

I am jealous of them .... My life would have been soooo much easier if SCT worked on my truck! It sucks that now I am going to have to pull everything for smog, but in my case it will be worth it to have a running truck. It killed me watching my truck not run good for the last few months ... too much money spent on toys and not able top enjoy them. Who knows, in a year or so when SCT has truly figured out the 2-bar MAP issue on MY truck I will go back in a heartbeat.
