My brother has the same exact truck I do but his has auto door locks that lock the doors once it hits around 15mph. He said that the option is turned off in my truck, and it can be turned back on. Anyone here know the instruction as to turn the option back on?

i did.. but I forgot lol. something about holding the brake and turning the key 3 times or something  I've done it before
Something like this could be possible, but according to the FSM, programming can only be done by the dealer with a DRBII programing.

According to my 2001 owners manual, could be different for an 04

1. Enter vehicle and close all doors.
2. Fasten seat belt.
3. Place key in ignition.
4. Within 10 seconds cycle key from the OFF position to the ON position FOUR
times ending in the OFF position. (Do not start engine)
5. Within 30 seconds, press the driver's door lock switch in the LOCK position.
6. A single chime will be heard to indicate the feature has been activated.
7. If a chime is not heard, program mode was canceled before the feature could
be enabled. If necessary, repeat.

Like I said, this is the procedure for an 01 so I don't know if it is different for and 04.

Not to be a smart-ass but I know it can be done because I did it one day while I was sitting in the truck waiting for the wife to get done tanning

But like I said, I was just playing around and don't really remember how I did it but I know it worked because I hated it and finally got it back to normal. I think I actually have a post about it here somewhere.... Google it possibly?

Not really how I did it but worth a try.. It may vary from year to year.

I was looking at the FSM for my '01 and it had no mention of how to program it. I didn't check my service amnual. I stand corrected!

I just tried it out, I did exactly what the instructions said, I hear the chime sound when pushing the lock button, but its not working. Maybe it could be different for an 04?

Do you have your owner's manual? That's where I got that info from, so if it is different maybe it will say in your manual.
