That's funny you say that. I was just talking to my dad the other day about starting our own buisness making trailers.

I kinda worked for a guy that build custom trailer and its fun but not very offten do u get to put ur own pop on it if u know what i mean. I have a few time but not as often as i wanted to. Now I just go up there when he has some one come in and say I need a trailer for this kinda job show me what build me something. And then I really get to have fun with it. He also does custom bumpers but thats by request only. But like i said this guy has a ton of stuff. I have done at least 100 exhaust set-ups there

I went to a demolition derby last night and there was a car with what looked to me to be a Road Armor front bumper. That car was untouchable. It was hitting other cars so hard and not even hurting itself. It was front wheel drive and the added weight to the front end from the bumper made that thing hook up really well in the dirt. The mud tires helped a tad too.

Got the bumper off to check things out. I think I'm going to use the existing brackets for the front and then make a drop down that will attach to two hole on the side of the frame. In the bottom pic the mounting points are yellow. Should be very sturdy.

Picked up a 4x8 sheet of 3/16 thick plate steel. I should be able to get at least 2 bumpers from this. That a lot of cutting with a damn reciprocating saw and a cutoff wheel.
you need to use/rent a plasma cutter, then grind the edges down for fit. If you don't, you'll be killing yourself with labor and blade/wheel changes.

I said in my first post that I was getting a plasma but after I sell this first bumper. My mom works for a ACE distribution center back in Bama and she got me 3 boxes of cutt-off and grinding wheels. I have enough for like 8 bumpers. Unlike some people I like work so not really worried about the labor.

Got the front center cut and started with the cardboard. Great thing about this is I can mock up one side then just cut 2 of everything. Center is kinda tricky though.
