yeah, I know, I crawled under and took a look already..as it stands it will fit but I dont know if or how much the rear sways move during operation?
is that the problem people had with the hotchkis?
it would hit it during driving or just flat wouldn't fit in there for the install?
The good news is I will send it back if it doesn't work out and the even better news is im getting a truetrac and 4.56 gears ;)
keep in mind I'm coming from 3.55 and open dif.
Not to be a downer but I looked at those diff covers and that one might not work with the sway bars because it sticks out further than the stocker. Let me know if it works out for you!

Yeah that will defintiely be a difference from the open diff and 3.55 gears I think with the hotchkis it wouldn't fit with it moving or not. I know there is another maker of sway bars that was known to be ok with that type of cover. So when are you getting them installed?

It doesn't fit. that cover is huge! very nice but no way will it fit with my fatter sways.
probably next week I will have them install the detroit and the gears.
1k to install them as you know.

I sold my 17" R/T wheels and ordered the 20" replicas and got some Yokohama Parada Spec-X 285/50 tires so I will be sitting around 31.5" which should be just right for the new gears .. rpm wise.
I also swapped out the intake for an 03 intake the other day.
Truck is running VERY nice.
only thing left after this would be heads and cams ;)

why don't you just get your heads ported? I wouldn't go over h.o. cams for the engine because many people I have talked to have said that it wasn't worth the price for the small amount of horsepower you get from 206 or 212 cams. It might be a good idea to get new lash adjusters at the same time. There is a company called killians that does good head porting you should be able to find them on a web search. Let me know how that gear install goes!

Even though my truck is an 02 it already has an 03 manifold so I don't know what difference you would get with that only but I know cams and head work should make a huge difference. Have you looked at getting an underdrive pulley also?

Check out www.rpmoutlet.com for the underdrive pulley or talk to nick at airram he might have a good deal. You will need a new belt I know that asp makes an underdrive pulley for our vechicles and they tell you what belt size you need.
