Is the transgo shift kit a waste of money if you have suprechips? I've heard that you cant install the two together, or to just leave the resistor out. If so what does the rest of the kit do?

It work really good with superchips and you do leave the resistor out. The shift kit will give you quicker more precise shifts without droop in the shifting if that makes any sense. The best would be to buy a performance valve body.

What could happen if you use the resistor with superchips. Right now I have superchips with the torque management removed and it still doesn't have that firm shift I want.

I've had both the Superchips and TransGo shift kit. I suggest ditching the Superchips and doing the TransGo, as that's what I did and I'm much happier.

P.S. You can disable torque management on your Durango without the Superchips.

Its that much better without the superchips? What makes it better? Seems like it would be better with both.

I personally think it is. The fact that you can remove the torque management manually and add the TransGo shift kit makes the shifting much harder than stock. Remove your Superchips, add the the TransGo, and see how you like it. Then do the TMR mod and see how you like it then. I'm pretty sure you'll want to sell your Superchips like I did afterward.

i know this is a different setup, v6 and 42re was for me, but with the shift kit first in i could actually bark 2nd and loved it over the SC but the 45s are built better and stronger then the 42-44-46s so really y not have all 3 with your 4.7? added preformance for the motor from SC and better shifting with the shift kit.

That's what I was thinking too. I've heard that it is not recommended though. Is there anyone that has done this successfully?
