Hey gang,

I've been a longtime user of many internet forums, but I had to spring the $25 and register here, because of the rapid responses and great knowledge sharing from all of you. This site seems the logical place for me to grow some roots.

I'm a 34 year old IT Manager from Toronto, and my Durango, who I affectionately refer to as "The Goat", is my first full sized SUV. I purchased her mainly for the 3rd row seat, but I've grown to appreciate all other aspects as well.

Now, I've had her for about a year, and am looking into sinking some cold hard cash into her. Initial purchases will be a new induction kit, Fastman 50mm TB, M1 intake, 180 Tstat, and complete exhaust kit with headers.

Once these are through (give me about 2 months) I will replace the headlamps (still shopping), fix one of my fog lights (broke off), and likely paint the truck (she's black) as there are a couple of scratches and the bumper is almost orange now! :)

Anyhow, I wanted to say hello, and I plan on becoming a very active member. Thanks to all who have answered my first posts, looking forward to getting to know you all.

Best,
Mark

No kidding!

Wow, great opportunity to meet some great people. I've never been on a strip before, would know nothing about it, but would also be fun to run my stock D down now, and then compare notes after my mods.. what's involved with making a run?
Drag racing is fun even in a bone stock vehicle

Not a whole lot is involved.....you show up, pay your entry. Fill out the info card they give you then you have to go through a "tech" inspection, they just check your truck for safety, before you can run. On a stock truck you have nothing to worry about, they pretty much just make sure your battery is bolted down. Then he writes your number for the day on the windows and your off and havin fun

If you come out I can explain everything in detail, it's very simple but if you don't know anything about it, it will be easier to just show you. Plus I don't want to clutter up your thread

We have a bracket event there you can run as well, it's fun cause in a bracket race your times don't matter, you can run 28 seconds and still win.

Welcome to the site  and yeah drag racing is fun even if your bone stock :mullet:
