OK. Not the best news. Tonight when I got home from work, I tried the truck again. First start I get a CEL and a LIMP-MODE:sorry: Next 10 starts, No CEL or LIMP_MODE. Before it was every start, so alot better, but still not good enough. Gonna start screwing with the scalars to see if I can optimize....

Done Tinkering. With the below values, I was able to go for 29 Key_on cycles without a single CEL or LIMP_MODE:woot: Please if you have a PRP or have a tuner who hasn't gotten it to work for you yet, try these values and give me some feedback. Here they are:

YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! I should have my truck running today. I'll try these values.

Is this the Pro tuner package you have? How much $? I should get it too.

If you had a ferd or a cheby an upgrade would be $350. They told me the upgrade for dodge is $850:blahblah: You should call and see if this is still the case.... Or better yet, call in and buy an upgrade for your ford truck...I wonder if that would work .... the software is the same

Ok, I'm confused. What are you looking up. How do you know what I have in my PCM is the same as what you are looking up?
Mike
I pulled your stock PCM file from the SCT database. This is the file that your tuner uses as a base. The new scalars are in the file, so when sean does an update you will have them. I can look at any file from any PCM in the SCT database with the PRP. Now your tuner may modify the files, but this is what he has to start with.

All I do is enter a PCM # and the software spits out a dataset...

Now I got it. Thanks. So are you going to start calling SCT again and tell them that it is STILL not fixed?

Mike, so far it looks like it IS fixed. Yesterday all those map parameters weren't even in the tables. It's up to the tuner to figure out what values are needed for their application. We wil see, but 29 starts with no CEL is a huge improvement, don't you think!

Send me your PCM number and I can download your file to see if the fix has been added!!
I found a dyno place that will buy the SCT package and tune my truck for me. So all they need is that base line file (the one that has the fix for the check engine light and limp mode) that they can get off of the SCT web site, right? Then they can go to town.

Here is the place: http://www.speedfreaksinc.com/

Do you know anything about them?
Mike
