I am looking for some insight as to what polyurethane products you need or what available products need improvement.

I am a R&D engineer with a polyurethane suspension company (newly hired).

I have a 1998 Durango 4x4 and I have visited this site many times in the past for technical help. Since everyone was so helpful I thought that I would post and offer my insight.

I will be reading the forum regularly and will try to answer any polyurethane questions that I find.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for new parts and I will see what I can do about getting them made. I can't guarantee anything, but the more information I have the better.

The grease that usually comes with your poly kit should do the trick (cant speak for all companies).

Energy Suspension offers excellent grease.

The grease that is best, is actually boat trailer bearing grease. Since companies like Energy have been using this type of grease for a long time they have found a great supplier.

The important thing is to not use regular grease because that will most likely cause the poly to squeak.

I never got any grease from energy suspension .. just the bushings .. so where should i get some from?

how about something to replace the rubber...whatever they are called...that mount the cab to the frame:sorry:

you mean like.... cab mounts? lol :jester:

x2 on cab/bed mounts.
i dont think we have bed mounts, at least not like the cab mounts anyway. Im pretty sure the bed just bolts directly to the frame without any isolators or anything.

if there is room for lowered ones that would be pretty nice, but otherwise just OEM replacements would be all I wanted. Just something to keep the cab a little tighter to the frame

i think thats what there called:huh: my brains a bit slow...to much work on the brain:jester:....but wouldnt they really be called cab mount bushings?????

speaking of a slow brain...when did you get new wheels?

but yeah stock replacement bushings would be great

Update:

Here are the part numbers for Energy Suspension grease:

9.11101 17g Tub
9.11104 260g Tub
9.11108 6g Tube

I think the 17g tub is probably the best for anyone who wants to re grease up any poly they might have on their vehicle. I would get a few tubs, I think they are only $3 a piece.

Motor, Tranny, and Body Mounts:

Now that I have some feedback I will do some more research and hopefully be able to start the ball rolling toward new product design.

Don't hold your breath, but I will be pushing for these parts. I want them on my Durango too!

I will continue to read the forum so keep your thoughts coming.
