It lets the boost out when you get off the gas. If not it would keep pushing in boost on tell the motor RMP's came down after getting in the gas and this would be BAD.
I should have rephrased that better because I've already got a BOV, I was wondering why he needed the vacuum line. But I've got it all figured out now. The vacuum line is what opens the valve to let out the excess pressure. I thought that the pressure inside the the pipe would push up on the valve and release air that way. I had no idea it was the vacuum inside the manifold that opened the valve.:jester:

Oh yeah, my wife has a diverter valve in her 06 GLi 2.0t, and you can't even hear it.:rant: Stupid MAF setups.
 
OK well I talked to him last night...He didnt say no..but he's not exactly set on it yet. One thing he pointed out is that if we use mine was the template, then your setups would pretty much have to be exactly like mine so that it fits just right.

As for the dim from the s/c to the air hat shouldn't be different from a Gen 2 to a Gen 3 or a 318 to 360. The only diff would be the lay out of the finder on that side but should work. I was looking at mine last night and it looked like it would work.

Get me some dim on the one you have and I will build a mock up box and see if it will fit.

Also I see where you are in Jville. I 'm in Sav, GA I will drive down one Sat if need be with the truck to help get this thing fitted.

Also what is hp rating on the one you have?
 
Yea it should lay out the same for the most part. I was thinking more like if your running a vortech or another type of S/C. If the outlets/inlets would be in a diff place. No idea on what the HP rating is, its at least 500+ cause were making almost 500 (at the wheels) now with our goal of making about 530 to the wheels. So I think the core is pretty good.
