Ok guys, where is the cheapest place to buy a cam? 480/512 lift or there abouts. comp/ crane/ lunati/ no off brands and no regrinds. Oh and whats the best type of rings to run on the street? steel/ cast/ moly-no to that I think/ hell, what other kinds are there anyway. I'm sure theres more. mind went blank.

you can get a cam from socaldakota.com for $320 to wutever specs u want, for all the additional crap ull need to put the new cam in it will run you about $900... thats not including the m1 thats pretty much necassary with a cam

plan on getting pretty much all the other stuff except the M1. I have done a lot of stuff to my barrel. Not going to radical just something with a bit of lope to it. Just looking for the cheapest place to get 1. Socals not the cheapest though. But its not the highest either. Any recomendations on a comp cam? they have 1 with a lift of 480/512 for 309.00. Damn thats alot of money for a stinkin cam. I'm used to buying regular hydralic cams for 100 bucks. Mopar makes everthing so hard and expensive. Not a pore mans motor is it? thanks

he can always go with the 4bbl m1 too to save some coin. dont think the rest of the stuff would be 900.oo though. more like 600-700 tops. springs, retainers, locks, rr's.

hell, ive been trying to sell him mine, but the old fart wont go for it.. :stirthepo
but if hes got pistons with valve relieves to guarantee no valve tap to piston clearance issues (even though i was told by hughes you can run this 1418aln cam with flat top pistons with now problems.

im willing to let what i got go for 475.oo, and ill go half on shipping for ya grump.

then all you need are the rr's. mancini has them for 303-360.oo

that intake i mentioned, i think can be had for under 350.oo too. althought he kegger will suffice till more funds come it. just gasket match it, open up the tb holes and smooth out the inside a bit.
