i don't know if this will help you but when i lowered my R/T i bought ground force lowering kit. It was complete with everything you need to lower. Mine was a 2/2 and the rear was lowering blocks. It cost me $650 :canada3:.
I had the kit on my truck with no problems for like 5 years. i hope this helps you

howd u like th blocks? because to me that just dont seem like theyd work as well as leaf springs...btw, wats th diff in value between canada and us $?

Summit Racing has Leafs.... but they are special order and is week to 2 week till you get them once you order them, I've personally talked to them about it. they were only $180 i believe...check it out... go to SummitRacing.com, and type in lowering leaf springs

I had no problems with the bocks i used...like i said i drove the truck alot of years with that lowering kit...The only thing i didn't like about lowering my truck was how rough the ride was after..but it was not that bad..here is a pic with 2/2 GROUND FORCE

I hope this helps

You could also do coils (brand and drop of your choice) up front and then hangers, shackles, or blocks (also brand and drop of your choice)...or a combination of those in the rear for the drop and then just get the Hotchkis sway bars to aid in handling.

Weezy hit the nail on the head.

The things about the Hotchkis kit you need to know. Not only are the springs lower, but they are also stiffer (higher spring rate) than the Factory set (even the R/T springs). The Bilsteins from Hotchkis have way more dampning (super stiff to slow down the suspension and keep you from bouncing). The sway bars are frigging HUGE!.

If you are on a budget and want the truck to handle, I recommend the Shackles/hangers for the rear with a tiny "frame saver" style bumpstop. SpringTech springs up front with a beehive style bumpstop shaved to 2" tall. Hotchkis sways for a lowered truck (the dog bones are shorter in the rear to keep the bar parallel to the ground). And KYB shocks as described in the below post.

Dakota-Boy's Shock Research

Hope that helps.

I had the TVS with Bilsteins on my truck and loved them. The key to a good ride is to not go crazy stiff on the springs, trim the bumpstops to prevent bottoming out and use the right damn shocks!

I'm doing a 3" drop front with Springtech coils and two front shocks, and i got some custom shackles for the rear for a 1.5" drop. I'll be putting a small 1" block in the rear also. I hear very good things about the Springtech coils. By next weekend it should be done on my R/T.

Oh btw I got the coils&shocks for $160 shipped and the shackles cost me around $90 and some labor.

ok so then a good alternative is shackles...im thinkin of a 2 or 3" drop up front, btw... im not goin to need control arms, correct? and ill need new shocks all around, not just up front, right?
so for my list, with ur guys' help: shackles/hangers, coils, shocks, bumpstops(optional), and hotchkis sway bars (when i scrape my $ together)...this good or did i miss sumthin?
