I know he only made the one set and that Steve owns them now. I have found all the part numbers for the light modules he used. I have seen the bracket he made to hold them. I read that he CNC'd the stock housing to mount them into it. I just have one question....

What did he use to make the cylinder looking recesses that let the modules sit back a bit into the housings? They fit so well around the lenses and all.

Pretty sure that was fiberglassed to make the outer housing....

yeah but what did he make the "tubes" with? you know the round parts for the recesses. They look to be plastic, but was it just some kind of acrylic tube stock that he found or did he modify them from something else or what?

i have a set ofprojectors sitting on my floor and a set of headlights ripped apart for when i finally do this. also have the wire that seperates the headligths from brights.
Im very interested to know how this turns out. make sure to log your actions. becuase ill be right behind you.

The tube was polycarbonate from GE Plastics. I have about 6' of it left here at the shop. The hard part was drilling the OEM headlights consistently. I have a set half done that I have been needing to finish forever for a guy on here, plus I have a set of 1pc headlights with twin lamps behind the "glass" that I should have finished a year ago.

Geez I should quit surfing the net and get my ass out to the shop! :banana2:

How many peeps really want a set of the Hella version? I might be able to get a local bodyshop on board to make the housings for a small batch of 5 or so. I have all the wiring harness parts in stock and can still get the Hella Lamps in H9 or HID.
