ya!!!! on the highway.. hitting about 70-80, i see this mustang (its night out), looks as though it has some exterir mods and exhaust.. i pull next to him, and gun it... he does too. i pull on him about a length or so... he gets behind me and i let off, he then sling shots around me, so i gun it again... he pulls on me a good 4 lengths, b/c i couldnt decicde if i wanted to keep gioing or not, twas fun... i got him in the begining and he got me by surprise at the end...

Bwaaahahahahahahahahahaha! Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! You keep telling yourself that. I'll grant you that there are a few quick R/T's on here and even a couple fast ones, but that's about it and you are not one of them. lol. I would more than likely rape you in a race like a horny gorilla! lol.:nana: The only thing I'm envious of about R/T's is the aftermarket parts available for them. My poor little 4.7 doesn't get the attention like the 5.9 crowd does, but then again it's my daily so I'm not so pressed to make it be something it's never going to be... fast. So I'll sit back and get better gas mileage. lol. Besides, if I want to go fast I grab my GM Performance crate motored V8 S-10 and take it for a spin, even then I don't even consider it fast by any means, simply quick. Oh and thanks for proving my point by the way. lmao! All in good fun. haha

yeah a friend of mine back when he had his dak pissed mustang gt owners of a lot and it was a 5.2, but i agree the r/ts are quick but by todays standards ehhh..., but shoot ur in a durango right, so hell yea to me thats makin a statement
and porsche owners are in the category of thinkin they are fast, no b.s. ive pushed two different ones up the road and that was with my lil 3.9 v6 dak,\
o and squishy, idk bout urs but my dads 4.7 durango imo has a good amount of get up and go, and i get better mileage with my r/t dak,

Yeah, the Durango has pretty good get up and go but it kind of peters out from there. I hate passing people on the highway because they just kill me usually. I can't believe you get better gas mileage with your R/T, that's just funny. lol. I'd be checking everything on the 4.7 because that just doesn't seem right. I have a friend of mine that has an R/T and he only gets like 9 mpg through the city and about 12 mpg on the highway. I feel for him, but he loves bragging about that 5.9. haha. The best part was when I was in S-10 and I walked him like a dog and I wasn't even full throttle. lol. That kind of pissed him off. In all fairness though, my motor on the S-10 puts out 290 hp and around 350 lb ft of torque when it's bone stock, and I'm not exactly bone stock. lol. Oh and the S-10 weighs probably about half of what he weighs. Now, for those who think I'm R/T bashing, I'm not. I'm just stirring the pot a little. haha. Hope no one took it too serious.

yeah im amazed too, because it ranges i guess due to where i buy gas anywhere from 15 up 18.5, dependin on city or highway or mostly for me rural roads, but yeah it is a 99 dakota std. cab, so yeah a durango has plenty more weight to suck the mpg down, so yea,
i bet the s-10 is fun to drive,
