Got a 2000 Durango SLT - when I decelerate (take my foot completely off the pedal) a wierd noise resonates from the vehicle. As soon as I touch the gas again it goes away - makes no noise when accelerating. It is a whirring type of noise that comes from the rear of the vehicle, I think (but resonates all around) - can't figure it out - tires, exhaust, engine? Anyone have similar problems?

Rear Differential

Well, that noise I described above has to do with the rear differential. The case came apart inside and screwed some things up. Cost to repair about $1400.

Doh! I am sorry to hear tht man. Makes me want to change my gear oil even more now. I can't wait until it warms up!
