I bought my 4.7 '02 Dakota new. I have 188,000 miles on it with no major problems. A sensor or two, and an a/c repair (not the compressor). I still have the original belt and hoses on it. :smile:

Very encouraging. Mine has 188k on it, and it's all original too. I'm using it a lot less now, so it should last a long time.

122K on mine, just bought it, was a one owner, very well maintained, older couple. Love this truck so far!

186,000 on my 01 Dak. Starts easily, runs good, no leaks (after I replaced the rotted out oil pan), doesn't burn any oil. Just wish it got better than 19mpg on a good day of highway driving. Engine is good, but the outside stuff like the failed exhaust manifold (DS) makes it noisy until I get the Gibson shorty headers installed.

337,594. It was powerful as all get out but threw a rod due to a stupid mistake. Replaced the injectors with 12-holes off e-bay. One leaked gas like a fountain, didn't know it was leaking. Gas was literally dripping out of the exhaust. Drove it ignorantly for awhile (getting 1 MPG or so), then had it towed to mechanic. He found the leaking injector, so replaced them with OE injectors. After three days of driving it with a fresh oil change, it threw the rod. Must have ruined the bearings by running the engine with gasoline in the oil. SO MAD!
