I was wondering what percent tint is the rear windows that came factory? anyone have a clue? 35% is the legal limit in mass and i'm thinkin about doin my front windows :banana2:

If you mean the rear door windows I believe they are 25%. I know I got the fronts done with 25% and it was a little bit darker than the rears due to the 2% tint in the fronts. Or at least that is what the tint guy told me.

Thanks - I think it really helps the look of the truck. I did it myself - thought I would give it a try and they turned out pretty good - been on for about at year now with no issues.

So does the 35% match the back. If so than the backs are 35%. If the fronts are a little lighter than the backs than the backs are 25%. Again I thought they were 25% but I could definitely be wrong.

The fronts are VERY close in shade to the backs (i don't think that there is enough of a difference to classify them as a different shade) - the package that I bought said 35%, but different manufacturers could be off a little on the numbers.....

Okay then I gues it is settled the backs are 35%.

20% is about what the factory tint is. I had my rear window tinted to 20% and it pretty much matches to the rear doors, only the new tint looks a little blue'ish from the inside. 35% is gonna look lighter.

Did you use the stuff you buy by the roll at pretty much anywhere that sells car accessories? how hard was it to do?:huh: was thinking about doing that to mine but didn't want to fudge it up and make it look like poop.

im close to being the 10th owner on my truck...and i got mine tested not to long ago and the smaller of the two back side windowsa are 5% and the ffronts are 20%

my rear slider is 20%

my front driver and passenger side are 35%

Just got popped speeding, got a bonus ticket for my window tint. I had tinted my fronts to match the backs. 27% is legal limit in SC and I was at 35% when I took it for testing.

I do my own window tint. I did the front and went over the back factory tint with 20%. When i went to get the truck inspected, the guy told me that the front was 18%. Here in Texas the minimun % you can have in the front windows by law is 20%. The police will say it's 25% but is 20%. :mullet:

i did my s10 with 2% over the top of the factory 20% for the back 3 windows, and a 2% 9" brow at the top of the windshield. i then added 20% to the door windows and it was dark as shit. i had difficulty finding things in the cab in the daylight, using my side mirrors, and you can absolutely forget about looking out the back 3 windows.
