Did a search and was surprised not to find a thread like this already.

Figured I would keep it to more or less see what everyone else has beaten.

My truck is a 2001 Dak, QC 4x4 SLT, 4.7 V8 auto, only mods are magnaflow exhaust, K&N intake, shift kit in the tranny (professionaly installed by a shop, PO had it done and it was the only mod done to the truck when I bought it besides side steps.)

My truck also has a 2.5" lift with 265/75/16 duratrac all terrain tires.

I don't go around looking for races, these are just friends rides or people that tried to race me at lights, I don't do cornering with a lifted truck ( :funny: ) so it's all drag races.

-Beat a subaru WRX up to 45mph, friends car, although he said he wasn't ready and only started off at 500rpm and missed second.
-5.7 96 silverado, that one was easy
-5.3 02 silverado, kept up but I was gone after 60
-bunch of civics, not even a race, always funny to see there faces after being beat by a pickup. :jester:
-Honda Accord, 5 speed, actually kept up about the same as my buddies 5.3 silverado
-2004 F150, neck and neck

I have lost to my friends duramax, another friends cummins, both of those were chipped too.

I plan to do some more performance mods after I sell my Jeep but I bought the truck for hauling and towing so not bad considering I bought it for a completely different purpose! :drive:

Haha yeah I get crap at work all the time from the Chevy guys. So far I have beaten all of them haha. How does that cherrybomb exhaust sound? I have magnaflow on mine right now but looking to do a dual setup and something a little louder.

sounds like a full size ram with dualies cherry bombs are very little restriction, so its mostly straight pipe

I've beaten a 2003 Viper on a 1/8 drag strip in San Diego. Granted the chick driving it didn't know how to drive it and ended up putting it into the wall later that night.

I took down my neighbors Porsche Cayman R with my little 3.9 V6 that only has 3.55 gears and a magnaflow muffler.

My neighbor originally wanted to take it out and do donuts in the snow, but decided to challenge me to a race down the street instead. He got stuck shortly after starting because there was 6-7 inches of snow on the ground. After winning, I helped him get it unstuck and push it back into his garage. The whole time we were getting back into the garage, his wife was heckling him that his super expensive sports car couldn't take on the little blue Dodge from across the street.

My last one was a couple guys in a new Camero RS off the light and they picked the race. I pulled him so bad off the light he shut off . Guess a old man in a Shelby Dakota looked like easy picking.

Prob the coolest one to this day was the time I was cruising down through the backside of town and one of those toyota tacoma x runners came up beside of me and romped their engine, and yes I know this truck will get me on the top end,but we had some traffic in front of us, I slow up and so does he, we gunned up from bout a 10 roll we ran side by side 1st and 2nd then let out, guy looks at me and grinned, asked me what do you have in that thing? I said 4.7, he says sounds good, anything done to it, I say a couple bolt ons lol, all he had was the trd supercharger and I think they come with the 6 speed, but I guess you just gotta love that bottom end torque of the dakota lol

I want to hear more civic kills lol. I have a modified 2008 civic si but nothing really races me anymore. It's rare to get a challenge.

Are any of you guys local to southern louisiana and go the the track occasionally? I'd be happy to line it up. I really only saw 1 or 2 dakota's at the track every time i ever went, and the fastest one was only running 13.9-14.0 @ 99's.

I've never found the 4.6 gt's to be all that slow as people say they are. Really only raced a couple of them, but the one i raced ran 14.0 @ 99 with a 9.0 or 9.1 1/8 mile, which certainly isn't fast, but it's not junk.

You want more Honda kills? All of my friends have Honda's, like stock 92-00 Civic 5spd, some have exhaust, some have this and that, lightly modified trying to work into more.. And 1 or 2 have built honda's that they claim to have taken down Zo6 Vette's with, but I wasn't witness to such.

For instance, at the street races, I've raced all of my friends.. The Honda's, i get them every time.. maybe by 2 cars at the 1/4 mark sometimes more sometimes less, depends how much the R/T wants to get sideways and shit off the line lol

My other friend had a 04 Mustang GT 5spd, he can't drive worth a shit, so we had another friend of ours drive it, and ran my R/T against it.. I was tearing his ass up until right at the 1/8 or so and he was gone.

There's a few of those Tacoma whatever they are, the TRD ones with the supercharger etc, around here, and i always pick on them tryin to get a race but they never take the bait.
