i had my 1999 4wd durango in the shop a little while back and im going to do the suggested ball joint work they told me needed done. But one thing they quoted on my truck that needs fixed is the "front stabilizer links." Now i am very mechanically inclined but i have never heard of this part. Any help or even pictures of this part would be much help.

Thanks

Sway bar links.

There are no links on the front end. The sway bar goes through bushings on the frame and directly into bushings on the a-arms (4wd models are this way). Ask them to show you the links...so long as you can't see light through the bushings where the sway bar goes through, they're fine. It's not a safety issue anyway, they would just make a little noise if they're loose.
