Anyone have a vin guide that shows options installed?

Reason I ask is because I'm looking to see what kind of rear end I have in my 01 Durango 4.7

I've had three times already to break the tires loose.

First time was durring my test drive..from a stop light I got a slight fish-tail though not 100% sure.

2nd time, leaving the spray-n-wash and going around a bend in the parking lot I got the truck sideways.

3rd time today, I was on a dirt road and got the back end to sway out. These trucks didn't come with a posi rear did they??? :huh:

count the bolts on the rear cover. 12 will be a 9.25 and 10 will be 8.25

there's no way to tell from the vin unless you take it to the dealer. Just look under it like Moparsz said.

Also there should be a tag in your glove box that will have the rear end info on it

good idea, as well as the glove box. there should also be a tag on the axle tube on the drivers side(?)

i believe the v8s all came with 9.25 rear ends didnt they?
