can anyone direct me to a site that shows laws for modified vehicles and after market parts?
You might get away with it but if it came down to it, a roll pan would be considered illegal since it's not attached to the frame like the OE bumper. No person shall install or alter a bumper on a passenger car
unless the design of the bumper is equivalent to, and the bumper is
mounted in substantially the same manner as, the bumper installed
by the manufacturer of the passenger car.
You can't even lower your truck a lot... if at all :rant:No person shall alter a passenger car so that the main
structural component of a bumper is more than 50 centimetres or
less than 40 centimetres above ground level when the passenger car
is unloaded.
And you can't have any tint on the driver or passenger front windows :cussing: Remind me not to move to AlbertaSubject to this section, no person shall place or install in a
motor vehicle a transparent, translucent or opaque material on or in
place of the
(a) windshield glazing, or
(b) side window glazing that is beside or forward of the driver
on the right and left hand side of the motor vehicle.
Thread from the dead!! As stated in the bold, its refers to passenger cars. Trucks are not included. In Alberta, because its know as "truck country" most trucks aren't touched because they would be handing out tickets left right and center. Rollpans may not be legal, but they won't bother you about it ."No person shall alter a passenger car so that the main
structural component of a bumper is more than 50 centimetres or
less than 40 centimetres above ground level when the passenger car
is unloaded."
WTF??? Does this apply to trucks? or just cars? cause if trucks...I know my truck is higher than 50 cm stock...lol
We aren't even supposed to have exhaust pipes that are widened at the end....
