99 Durango, 5.2 L, 68,000 miles. Replaced cap, rotor, and plugs about 22,000 miles ago. On pulling the plugs this week end, the front ones looked great, but the further to the back I got, the worse they looked. The back ones had gray buildup on them to the point that it could be chipped off.
It runs great, and I love it, other than the engine pings pretty good under load if I don't run 89 octane in it.
I was thinking timing, but that would effect all plugs the same wouldn't it?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Both photos - top is driver side, front of engine is to the right
Thank you.
