Guys/Gals,

Tried to do a search on this and was unsuccessful. Hopefully you can help.

When I hit the brakes, the dash turns on and the gear selector and odometer goes dim (just like if the headlights were on). But this is the middle of the day.

Now, when I put on my left signal, the gear selector and odometer blinks from bright to dim. Any ideas?

I checked all the fuses and relays. All looked fine to me.

Ground issue.

Sounds like possibly something with the left tail light. Start there.

I looked under the rear bumper, and found an ol trailer hitch electrical hookup. It was all corroded, and falling appart. I removed it all the way to where it was spliced into the tail lights. The left tail light splice had all kinds of dirt and water in under the electrical tape. Now everything works fine. I hope this was the issue. Thanks

I have the same issues but worse, radio and overhead dim flash as well, and my signals do not work at all when the lights are on. My has done this sice I swapped all my dash bulbs to leds. I believe I need a load resistor to cure it. I have a temp plan I am going to try to see if it resolves it before I start buying resistors.
