My '03 Sport Ex cab came with some splash graphics on the sides. I don't know if they were dealer added, aftermarket added, or factory applied. I haven't seen the same graphics on any other trucks.

After 15 years they are starting to peel off, getting a bit weather worn and thin. Missing in some spots and leaving behind the adhesive.

I'd like to replace them with the same graphics, but web searches are not helping me find them. Does anyone recognize the graphics? Are they factory, or aftermarket? Any idea where I go hunting to see if they are still available?

I know it's not a great picture -- I'll take a better one. But you can see the truck graphics behind my Slingshot and my 74 Suzuki GT550 and my VStar....

Good idea -- but I have to think it's in a catalog somewhere and I can just order it. It's not just a single color vinyl cut out, it's a printed graphic.

Someone here will have some body shop experience and just recall what catalog they've seen it in. I hope.

The thing is, theres no way to know if they are still available. If they were on the truck since new, it makes that particular graphic 15 yrs old and I haven't seen that one myself, so I'm gonna guess that it wasn't common and probably out of production. I remember the Mark 3 decals, but this isn't even close!

I would still suggest you go to a place that does vinyl graphics or vinyl wraps. Those places have the technology to scan the design in, correct any issues with peeling and color fade, and then they can print out a new pair of decals and apply them to your truck. They can do very intricate patterns with multiple colors and or shading. I doubt any of them will have a problem exactly reproducing them.

Here's the original decal on the truck. It's dry and flaky, small chunks come off with a thumbnail. But it leaves dry adhesive behind. I think I'll try the 3M adhesive remover that I used to de-badge my Altima coupe.

The decal is longer than pictured -- it actually extends all the way almost to the taillight.

Any words of wisdom on removing it cleanly would be greatly appreciated.

Use a hair dryer to heat up the decal on one end and slowly start peeling it off heating as you go. Use WD40 on a rag and remove the adhesive or Liquid Wrench works better if you have some.

Well that sounds like a good technique -- except the decal isn't one piece, it's many.... no clear backing, etc. And it's so dried out that I think it's basically going to just shred.... This may work, but it'll be a weekend long removal project.

Nothing ventured...nothing gained!! This is not an instant removal process. Takes a little time and effort but it works very well.
