ive heard of people doing this before, plus it still passes emitions.

i haven't done this yet, so i don't know of the gains, but because there are no sensors before or after the third cat, it won't throw a code.

I let a muffler shop do mine, wasn't hard at all. Florida does not have state inspection anymore.

when you deleted the 3rd cat did you exhaust get louder at all?

I never got around to it. But I want to do it when I get me header. There comeing in a week.

Yeah, I still had the stock muffler on after the cat was deleted and it got a little louder but not bad. Later on I had the Flowmaster 70 series muffler added with duals to the rear bumper and that sounded a lot better. Now all I have to do is get the Flowmaster Y pipe I bought off of ebay installed. I hope that helps it to breath better. We'll see!

I took off the third cat and installed a v-force muffler on my 2001 r/t , sounds great and i felt a difference right away in power, and gained 50miles to a tank of gas
