My 06 4.7 4 x 4 (AWD), 152,000k, is slow to shift into D or R when cold. Once in gear, shifts fine and smooth. No noise. Once warm, goes into D or R quickly. Any ideas?

Hello, I understand this issue is already resolved but I had the same concern with a different repair. Mine was the line pressure sensor on the right rear of the trans. Replacing the sensor solved the issue.

Thanks for the TSB link!
+1 on the filter
My Ram was acting up in same way. (545RFE). Delayed start, slipping.
I had used a NAPA filter kit on the last change about 20k ago.
Did a fresh change with Mopar filters and oil. Problem gone. All the torque and smooth shifting is back.
