on my way home tonight i was stopped at a light and began to accelerate in first gear i pushed in the clutch and shifted into second when i released the clutch i heard a loud pop the truck still accerated fine but when i went to shift into 3rd the clutch pedal felt different seemed to be more stiff and i had to fight it into 3rd gear then into 4th and every gear is a fight

with the truck off and clutch pedal pressed i can shift with ease 1st 2nd and 3rd but 4th 5th and reverse are almost impossible to shift into

the clutch was just replaced with a second autozone clutch kit new throwout bearing pilot bearing disc and the flywheel was surfaced

did my slave cylinder blow? or did a shift fork bend?

A slave cylinder works much the same as your brakes. If it is bad it won't release the clutch. Try pumping it up a few times and see if that makes a difference.

I've heard to replace the slavecylinder when replacing the clutch just the same as the throwout.
