Guys, I'm trying to put some guages in a piller pod in my 1999 Dakota R/T 5.9.
I can't seem to find a good location for the sender for a Trans Temp guage. It's a 5.9, Auto...
Any Ideas?

Yes, I have a trans cooler, all R/T 5.9's do. (I think)
Can I tap into the line?
Will that give an accurate reading?

that'll be the easiest place to tap into. (I think) just decide if you want before or after cooler temp

All R/T's dont have a tranny cooler, ya have to put one on. The best and easiest way to run a tranny temp gauge is to get an aluminum "Mopar Performance" tranny pan with the drain hole and tranny temp sender already tapped in the pan. Your tranny temp gauge will come with a sensor. You will need an adapter for the sender to mate up to the pan, you can get that at a parts store. I used and electric gauge, not a mechanical one. Very simple to install. And accurate. Autometer Phantom's. Look sweet in my tripple gauge pod. Good luck with your install.
