that would be pretty bad-ass.. i am not sure how dodge COMPLETELY missed their opportunity to throw hooks on the dak/rango.. such a GIANT fail..

I'm an experenced welder, and whoever is going to be doing the welding bettter know what he is doing cause the tow hookes might be cast steel, and if they are has to be welded a curtain way. and if you weld the hooks onto your frame, any weak spoot in the weld well cause the hook to rip off, or even some of the frame, cause tow hook are not desined to work that way.

If it is a 4X4 just buy a bolt on FRONT Mount Hitch, CURT, Valley, all carry them. I even modded a front hitch for my 2WD QC. Works sweet.

Front hitch with home made push bar insert

I modified the insert this summer so it sits 2" higher as I was nailing curbs once in a while, It's good now. Keep in mind I don't use it for heavy wheeling but just to move around a car now and then and give me some protection in front. The OEM 2003 bumper is a plastic useless POS.

front hitch

i welded up a hitch for the front of my rango and with the 3" t/s lift i did on it it does real good off road, plus i made a custom diamond plate skid plate for the front instead of the plastic crap that come on it. you can see it here
