i have a buddy who is willing to give me his converter outta his 727 transmission, but i don't know if it will work in a 46re? he has a higher stall then what i do ,thats the only reason-his is around 2600-2700rpm- plus its a freebie!!size is 10.5,,is there anything i should ask him about it? anyone willing to chime in here and help a non-knowledgeable trans guy out,,lol
ok..it'll cost me a case of beer,,,guess its not free

You'll need a "lock-up" converter for the 46re/A-518.

They are not the same. Get the right one. A 46RH or RE should work as long as the bolt pattern is the same. Some had an offset hole, others didn't. Also need to make sure it's balanced the same.
