I wanted to put a thermostat in my truck and wanted to know where is the best place to purchase one? Who makes the best?and Are they made for 02 r/t's?

Check out the T-Stat parts page and that will give you an idea. I picked mine up at Autozone for $6.

you remember the model number on that by chance?

I used the GT755-180 in my truck but, mines a 4.7L not the 5.9L. One of the other guys will have to tell you if they are the same or not... sorry.
