IIRC, you have an NP231. As I recall, any 1992-up auto-trans Dakota or Durango that does NOT have the 4.7 V8 should work. One from a Command-Trac 1994-98 Grand Cherokee MIGHT work. A Cherokee case will NOT work without modifications. (They used a different transmission, as did SOME 6-cylinder 93 Grands.) No idea on a Wrangler case, but I'd guess not. (Same reason.)

One from a 1994-2001 5.2/auto Ram should work. (IIRC, it is an NP231HD has stronger internals, also used in V8 Daks.)

Wild card: I have no idea when Daks, Rams, and Jeeps switched from mechanical to electronic speedometers...though if you have the former, you could probably just swap your extension housing to a later case.

I have a 97 dodge Dakota 5 spd 4x4 and the t case went out I've been told that a 89 jeep would work tried it nope I have a 2000 Durango 242 D and the drive line won't work either so what can I do for a turn option besides buy a new 1 for the make and model of my truck have limited cash at the moment and it's my only vehicle to get to work and home
