i am gonna be pulling the front cv shafts and putting in a differnt front center section(mine went junk city) so thought i would replace the cv shafts wile im at it as the orignals have over 140k miles so my ? is i would guiess that the cv shafts need to come out first(correct?) then the center section but how do i get them out? any short cuts? anything to watch for? any special tools my guiess is couple bolts and front driveshaft and front centersection will drop??

You'll have to at least pop a balljoint or remove the knuckles to gain clearance for the CV shaft to come out unless you let them hang until the axle is out.

If it were me, I'd undo the CV shafts from the axle, remove the axle, remove the CV shafts from the truck, then reverse from there. One big nut in the center of the wheel hub holds the CV shaft in the hub bearing. Make sure you properly torque this nut down, too tight or too loose will cause your bearing hubs to go bad quickly.
