Holy hell. I can only imagine what those stacks sound like.
thats a wierd ass viper intake manifold. it may be some sort of aftermarket performance one, but ive never seen it before:huh:
ditch that bed and get a regular smooth side metal bed and ditch those stacks for some side pipes. that'll give a few camaro owners penis envy. (i say this because camaro owners are big on sidepipes from what i have seen).

i the lil red express are all ready cool but add the V10 it makes it even cooler
Wow......... :eek:nethumb: ...no, :twothumb:
I cant imagine what that truck is worth. I drool everytime I see my friends '78 lil red, and its only primer colored lol.
pretty crazy. I personally like they way they look. they might not have the cleanest lines but they are still really cool in my book. I am pretty impressed with that one in particular though.

do you call it the lil gray express?
it saddnes me how many people look at a lil red express and start listening what needs to be changed.....why change a lil red? i mean really...it's like why color match an slt when you coulda just bought a sport?

well put, though I would make stacks functional.

Stacks are functional...

Are we sure that's a Viper V10 though? I don't know my V10-nacular, but it kinda looks like the Magnum V10.

agreed, the viper v-10's have the throttle body at the very front of the engine where the a/c compressor and alternator are on that engine... which means that cannot be a viper motor
yea i thouht it looked odd
it just plain and simple looks like a truck motor....plus who gets rid of the viper valve covers? that's half the cool factor right there
Call me blind, but I only count 4 tubes on the headers going into the collectors. If that is a V10 then is is for sure not a Viper V10.

I love the Lil Red trucks and would not change a damn thing about how they look.

Dakota Sports aren't color matched, but an R/T is. Durango SLTs are color matched, so why was the Dakota SLT saddled with chrome? If it weren't for folks like me that have de-chromed you wouldn't have a good source for a cheap OEM replacement of your bumper.

Not to digress too far, (but I will) I purchased an SLT because that was the only truck located in California that was configured as I wanted: QC, 2WD, V8/5-speed manual. My choice was yes or no. Not what color, what trim, what options, etc. This was just me making my truck into what I had originally intended to purchase. I suspect others are in this same boat.

The Lil Red Express possesses a cool factor just because it's so different from what we call "normal" today. But when it was introduced it wasn't styled much differently (the stacks weren't usual) than the usual production trucks of its day. The front section was typical of the '70s while the bed section was a throw-back to the '50s. I'd take it and drive is as it is! :drive:

You're blind, I see 5. :sorry:
Thats a truck V10. Viper V10's have the 2 throttle bodies up front. So its basically a supercharged V10 magnum. An easy 500HP with that supercharger though!

yeah the other guy is right... you're blind.... i counted the spark plug wires and there's 5 of em..... and as far as the Lil Red Trucks go.... in 77 and 78 when they were produced they were the fastest american production vehicle on the market.... :drive:
