Anybody ever have trouble with their rack and pinion? I just had the frontend aligned and it still seems to want to jump around kind of like it has a mind of its own. does fine on a smooth road but on not so good roads it seems like its a little loose somewhere. Kind of feels like it has a little slack in the steering wheel. I had another 93 and it was so bad when I got it I had to replace the rack. Felt kind of the same as now, except to the extreme. Any ideas? thanks

maybe from when you hit the deer? did you ck your tire pressure.

Its been doing this for awhile even before I dropped it. I thought maybe I had some bad shocks even but new ones didn't fix it. Only thing left I know would be the rack maybe. I don't know.

I had the same problem with mine. Just couldn't keep the thing going straight. Check the couple where the steering shaft comes down and mates up with the rack and pinion. If you can move that connection around, you'll most likely have to replace the rack because of that post being worn out. I actually had to replace my rack and my steering shaft. Problem's all better now though.
