i'm sure your well aware its alot of work performing a engine swap. Are u gonna do it yourself or pay someone else? Check out hemidak thread or go in his profile and review his treads. I'd imagine u find alot of info in one place.

you will but i've noticed almost all of the threads i've read have very little info on the wiring which is the main problem

No biggie if you go to d-a-k-o-t-ausa search hemidak his thread is gull of alot of good info and I think he has some info on the wiring but it's been awhile since I've looked.

I have done the 07 5.7 into an 06 4.7 Ram using the 4.7 electronics.

For the swap i will have a lot of help...my brother in law and my dad are pretty good with this stuff...so i will not be hiring any help for the job....and thanks everyone for the help..it could be a while yet until the swap begins but i just wanted to get some info together so i can access it later...this thread will make it so much easier for me to do that. So everyone feel free to leave info pertaining to the 2003 4.7 to 5.7 hemi swap....thanks everyone

contact hemifever and talk to him about the tune and how much it'll cost, you'll need a wideband o2 sensor and afr datalogger for the tune and if you plan on using your 4.7 ecm you'll have to use get the sct tune so that it'll run the hemi

I have an 03 Dak and interested in the same swap but going to use the ram computer and wiring harness mated to the Dak.
One question if I were to purchase a completed 6.1 of the assembly line ( they go for 6250.00 IIRC list) would the 5.7 computer run the 6.1?

With a tune it should.

just watching these threads as I made a deal today on an 07 ram hemi and tranny with all the wiring,computer,throttle pedal and all ac lines for $1500

Mine is going in a 2002 Dak 4x4 and even found a place that will sell me the wiring.

wow impressive deal!!!! wish i could find one for that price!!!...and for the update..well there isn't one haha...funds are limited (im still a college kid- and well you all know that college isnt cheap haha).....and knock on wood but my 4.7 with 200,000 miles hasnt had a single problem!?!?!?! and who said the 4.7 was junk???? haha
