Let me get mine mounted up and i will post mine
Nice

I really like this idea! I think I'll do this... thanks for sharing!

Didn't like what I saw. To flimsey, not removable, useless to push or pull another car... bs.

So, I installed a front mount hitch, not available for 2WD, did it anyway, and built the push bar to do what I wanted. I can also install a small winch front or rear to do other jobs.

Not off the shelf but it works great for me. Used it today

Thanks, made some changes since first installed...

1st, if you have a "Farm & Fleet" type store, that is where you get the raw recievers to build the unit. Farmers rig all sorts of stuff, good place to shop. Square steel tube I used 1.5" medium duty 3/16" wall(?) tube. I was thinking about the 1/4" super tube, then it dawned on me it isn't going to pull anything, and the 3/16" tube is heavier than 90% of the "Bull Bars" on the market. Sketch it out on paper as there is more tube than there looks.
Shop around at industrial metal suppliers and ask what the minimum is. Some suppliers will quietly sell you 40' of tube (if that's what you ask for) for a $100 MINIMUM, then you find out that the same $100 should buy 80', if you ask correctly.
The caps are plastic, bought on e-bay I think. Company called Capplugs out of New England is another source but they sell quantities. The rubber push pieces are a stair tred available at building supplies like Menards. You have to trim them to fit.
The change I made was the original was to low to the ground. I bumped into a high curb in front of a restraunt and knocked out a 4" divot. Now the 2nd reciever is on top of it's insert and I welded a heavy 45* bump plate over the lower opening. The other thing I like is it raised the top of the push bar ~2" and gave me just a bit more protection for the grill. Keep the reciever open all the way thru, so when mud or sand (snow up here) gets packed in it you can push it out the back. If you want I can take some more pix of the current version. Hope this helps, good wishes on the project

my old custom made westin grill guard, baught a rusty grill guard, sanded it all down, got bar stock from work and started welding, turned out looked really cool, however I doubt it made it any stronger.

I think that should have worked. That's a recent one of the truck

sent from somewhere where I'm not home on a phone not paying attention to something important like school -_-
I don't drive this truck much anymore, but I'll contribute anyway. It was on my Ford when I got it, and it'll probably be going back on there.

I would like to get one but I have a 3" body lift. Would it take much modifying to make it look good?

Mount to the same point on the body lift bumper brackets as you bumper, then it will be at the proper height.
