I'm gonna install my lowering kit this weekend and I'm wondering if anyone who have installed an aftermarket lowering leaf needed to replace the factory U-bolts. Would I need to do this or is it ok to reuse them? Thanks

I would replace them, but if they are in good shape and not bent, you could reuse them if you want to.

if they are the right length, you CAN re use them. i am of the age where if you take fasteners off, always replace them... gotta love that Navy Engineering training.

IIRC, all lowering kits have new fasteners in them.

ALWAYS Replace u-bolts if they are removed. The threads get damaged when you remove the nuts & they wont be as strong when you reuse them. Call Ruben @Betts & he will hook you up with some new u-bolts & nuts. I went there on my last weekend off & he made them up while I waited.
