I have an 01 Durango and after 260,000 miles the driver seat was shot. I wound up finding what had to be a low mile '98 in a boneyard, which I wound up buying the seats out of, initially as a "fill in" so I could send my original out for repair at an auto glass and trim shop. (the driver side seat heater never worked since I got it anyway, was gonna see what was up with that while the seat was apart) My wife has taken a liking to the seat heater in the pass side (when I would drive of course) and when the weather gets cold "reminds" me of the inop driver side heater.

Well, the 98 seats are close enough to a match, don't have the "rock" that my original driver seat did (though the rocking in my original seat wasn't as bad as some I have seen) and are much more comfortable than the originals. so we have decided to leave the 98 seats in place, wife just wants me to swap the power base from the original passenger seat to the replacement (should be easy to do) and see about adding seat heaters to these replacement seats.... How possible is that? Any aftermarket possibilities? everywhere I look, replacement OE seat heaters are around $120 each. Can they even be retrofitted into the 98 seats? The 98s are leather as were the original seats.

There are generic after market seat heating kits; you'd have to figure out where to put the switch, or figure up how to use the factory switch.

I have a set of these https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B008D2LIRG and still have them to put in; my nephew forgot them while redoing the bench for my 1988. (Not a big problem - not only have I not yet run the wiring, but right now my 32RH is a 00RH with zero speeds :devilish::poop::devilish: )
