The tubes are aircraft aluminum that are cermachrome powdercoated then clear coated - I've watched him skip a test model off the ground to show how good the clear coat holds up. There's really only 2-3 companies that actually make the filters themselves, so the differences lie in the tubes, heat shield, and couplers.
