If you don't use it, then go for it. It won't reduce the weight very much though...
removing 3rd row seating(for wieght)
has anyone removed the 3rd row seating? im thinking of taking it out and laying down a piece of plywood and covering it with factory carpeting and stuff. i never use the 3rd row seating ever anyways and i plan on keeping the truck till it dies so its not gonna hurt my resale value lol

Just saw this, and it's really not going to reduce weight specially in a lifted 4x4. Why are you even concerned about weight actually??
A half inch peice of plywood, which is what you will need for strength purposes, weighs more than the seat does...
