Regular Cab: Why?

Was actually looking for a car to drive back and forth to work everyday. I came upon this truck as I was looking to replace a Blazer that tried to melt itself down. Anyways, I was looking at a dealer's lot and cam upon this one that had been traded in but not inspected. i was able to get it inspected, took it to my mechanic and he gave me the thumbs up. It has everything I was looking for in a car just a little bigger, but smaller inside. Very comfortable ride sold me, plus good power, loaded, 4x4 that i can flick in and out of 4wd like nothing. Handles twice as good as my blazer, gets better gas mileage so I am happy with it. Plus i dont have to heat up 3 times the room of the cab like my blazer. Sometimes it seemed like it would never heat up. Not my Dakota. It heats up before i reach the end of my block. Love modern trucks.

i thin a regular cab 97-03 dakota is one of the best looking trucks ever built i bought mine because its a 5.2 5-speed when i found it on moparts i wasnt even looking to buy a vehicle but when i found it i was at the bank the next day pulling out a loan, bought it off the original owner who was a cop he special ordered the truck with no options except for the 5.2, 5-speed, 9.25 rear end and the tow package. manual windows no tilt wheel no sliding window nothing! so its probley the lightest v8 genIII you could have bought

I originally was after a 2001 CC R/T in Bright Silver Metallic, but had to settle for a RC instead due to The Dealership Not having a Good inventory of Trucks.

My Second RC was just a matter of the Right Time and place for the Right price.....

I'm still hoping to find a Silver CC R/T down the road eventually....

My first was a 1995 RC Sport 4 banger

Then i got a 2000 CC 3.9L sport auto, never really liked it I thing CC and QC only look good if they are set up for offroad slight lift bigger tires

traded for a 2000 RC 3.9L sport 5-speed

then found the truck I've always wanted 2004 RC 4.7L 5-speed stampede, pretty much all the options

as close as i can afford to a sportscar

although i feel a 1993 Mustang Cobra is in my future

Cause my first car (GMC Jimmy) had lots of open room and became my own trash can and pile up of CRAP...no back seats no trash!

Didnt have the room to give many riders a ride unless they wanted to sit in the back!!

Looks better overall...shorter...stockier looking...lighter...

Only downside so far is not much room for subs...have EVERY square inch possible filled though :jester:

RC just looks better and when lowered a CC just looks too long.

I bought my rc cause I wanted 5-speed,4x4 and it was the first truck I came across in my price range. I love my rc. It just looks tough.(even though it is only a 6 cylinder) I will never get rid of it. I would rather put new engines in old trucks then buy any of the new Eco friendly shit out there now.:cussing:

My 96 rc has 230,000 miles on it. I had tires and a front end alignment done today. The dude at the alignment shop said the front end was as tight as a new one. Gotta love the dodge dakota RC!!

Well what I really wanted was a Silver CC 4x4 w/ the 5.2L but I couldn't find one and mine was the only one for sale around here. I really like my RC cause I belive true performance vehicles should be 2 seaters. My 84 Ram is also a RC. But I do wish I had a QC for more Room, but I would never get rid of the 97.
