Well, I didn't like the pattern of fabric on the door panels in the dakota, so I decided to make my own. After many, many failed attempts it finally came out good. They are covered in 100% genuine black leather with raised letter (High Density foam was used underneath to get the raised letters.

Here's some pics.

Thank looks OUTSTANDING!

Was it really difficult? How did you get the leather to go around the letters and not wrinkle in other areas?

What did you use to put the panel back on. I recovered mine a couple weeks back and used a bunch of hot glue. Now they are starting to give a bit when its hot outside.

I didn't take mine off. I tucked the suede behind the panels. It's nice and tight so it isn't going to move unless you yank it out.

the back panels I did start to take off but they were long enough to where I could use a washer and a screw to tighten it back down.
