how much is the damage after everything all said and done (every bit of the kit) i hate the "this is half of what you need but its on sale" deals.
and also, did we ever work out the whole rotor issue?

OK. I was really thinking of getting everything needed but the calipers. Wonder if saving 20% and paying for shipping twice would still be cheaper than no 20% and paying for shipping once. Bet it comes out pretty close for both.:hammer:

Calipers For Sale

Hey, if anyone is interested i have a pair of 79-85 Eldorado calipers with parking brakes. They came from 79-85 Eldorado, Riviera, and Toronado and 80-85 Seville.

I purchased these used in advance, planning on buying this kit and doing the conversion. Well I never got around to it and don't see it happening anytime soon (although this group buy is a good deal).

The calipers appear in good shape, although clearly dirty and used. They were sold to me as not needing rebuilt and after receiving them I don't think they need rebuilt either. However they will be sold as-is. Just calipers, no pads.

$120 shipped to CONUS. If anyone needs a pair of these to complete this kit give me a shout.

This is a really solid setup. I was going to do it, but ended up going with the Jeep conversion. If I could have go the money off I would have done it... oh well, too late. The rotors would be very easy to modify adn a good shop that still turns rotors could easily make the modification. The Gen 2 and Gen 3 seem to be the same as I did the Jeep conversion on both without any issues. Another benefit to the disk's over the drums is that if you break an axle they may keep the axle in the truck long enough for you to get it hauled down.

I am no longer going to run these brakes. Only two of us wanted them so I'm going to run '94-96 Jeep Cherokee rear brake setup.
It's an easy swap. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi... How are you doing with the rear drum-to-disc conversion? I'm looking at finally getting around to upgrade my '99 durango and have been shopping for kits. So far I'm seeing aboit $600-1000 for them. I wished I had bought the kit I saw a few years ago at half the bottom end price! *sigh*

Great conversion. No regrets, other than I wish I had done it long ago.

It's unclear to me as if this kit is complete. I don't want to have to go looking for a bunch of different components. Just want to buy the stuff and install it. Can you tell me which kit to go with?

JuicedDakota.....how did your install go?

i paid somewhere around 500 for the kit including shipping. this was for the non-e-brake kit. Install went good, there was a problem with my caliper mounting brackets, the threaded bosses for the slide pins were 1/2" but were supposed to be 1/4", instead of dealing with shipping i grinded them down myself. i called TSM a couple times, great customer service and super helpful. while i did the install, i also undercoated my fenders, replaced my axle seals and bearings, and painted everything with caliper paint to make it look pretty. after replacing a few brake lines, buying the kit, the above stuff and other randoms i was probably clocked in at around $700 total. i am very happy with the kit, looks great, performs alot better than stock.
worth the $700? some might not think so, but i like to spend my money, and my #1 pet peeve about these r/t's was that they had junk ass rear drums.

That's what I'd do as well if I could find any axles around here that aren't $800. haha

That's a good idea.....it's a direct replacement? Although I did change my rear end gearing a long time ago. Gota check the ratio I put in..... I suose I could swap the gears if there the same.
