Rear Disk Brake and Axle Swap 2003 Dak -> 98 Durango

Hello everyone,

I've been reading around on here about converting the rear brakes on my 1998 Durango from drums to disks from a 2003-2004 Dakota. Im planning to swap the entire rear axle and most likely the leafs as mine are completely clapped out. I read on another post that only the 8.25 rear axle came with disks, ofc with my truck coming with a 9.25 from the factory I do not want to swap to the smaller axle.

I'm wondering if anyone has any more information regarding the Axle size and if 9.25's came with disks on the later Dakotas.

2003 5.9 R/T durangos should have 9 1/4 with disc brake i got one from the junkyard out of one and the bonus was that it had 3:55 gears which i needed and a detroit locker
